Prayer of Peace

Father, today I want to just thank you for the revelation I received during these past five days. I want to ask you to forgive me for running after the temporary peace the world offers. I stand before you today knowing the inheritance Jesus left me is priceless and beyond comparison to any material possessions. Holy Spirit, teach me how to activate and use my inheritance of peace, show me what I need to root out of my heart so that I can create space to cultivate a peaceful heart. Open my eyes to see Jesus in the scriptures I read every day so that I can grow in my knowledge of his greatness, faithfulness, and his character.

I want the inheritance of peace to be multiplied many times over in my life. Holy Spirit, help me to operate in the measure of peace that Jesus operated in so that I may see countless miracles in my life and those around me, let fear, anxiety, and worry have no room in my life as the peace of God expands in and around me. Holy Spirit, please give me the wisdom, strength, and courage to enter the realm of the peace of God in order that all the blessings that were so freely given to me may be kept. Let my life be an example for those around me to be able to see your glory. I thank you for hearing my prayer and I believe peace is my inheritance. Amen

Peace keeps the miracle

In the book of Mark, there is a very familiar story of the woman with the issue of blood. This woman had suffered greatly for a period of twelve years searching out doctor after doctor with no signs of relief. Every day she was becoming weaker and losing life, she was embarrassed and outcast because of the laws of her day. Her situation would be deemed as impossible, hopeless and beyond repair. Her issue had not only made her weak but she began to run low in finances, she was in dire straits and in need of a miracle. The story tells us that she started hearing reports of Jesus and the supernatural miracles that were happening in the community. Her faith began to grow and a glimmer of hope was sparked deep within. Only the Prince of Peace could cause faith to arise in the heart of the hopeless and desperate.

She heard Jesus would be passing her and decided to press through the crowd to be able to touch the healer and she was successful. As she touched Jesus’ garment she was immediately healed and this drawing down of power from Jesus caused him to stop to find out who had touched him. The woman was afraid and came forth to show herself and at this point Jesus spoke some very powerful words,” And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your trust and confidence in Me, springing from faith in God) has restored you to health. Go in (into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [distressing bodily] disease.” (Mark 5:34)(AMPC)

In other words, Jesus said her faith caused a miracle of healing but then he said, “Go in (into) peace and be continually healed and freed from your [distressing bodily] disease.” The word into in the Greek is “en” and it means to step into. For example step into a house, so in essence, Jesus implied that in order for her to keep the miracle of healing she would have to now step into the realm or place of constant peace, inner peace. Many times we receive divine healing at a prayer meeting, worship service or miracle crusade. We feel the healing touch of God but once we leave the atmosphere of God’s presence we forget and trials and troubles of everyday life rob us of the miracle. The grace of God gives us everything freely but it is the peace of God that keeps all that God gives. Inner peace is tantamount to a happy life, inner peace is not dictated by outward circumstances but by knowing and operating in the inheritance we received from the Prince of Peace.

“A great many people are trying to make peace, but that has already been done. God has not left it for us to do; all we have to do – is to enter into it.” Dwight L Moody
