(For the resurrection day.) When it seems that I am gone forever- a lost you can not regain. This love that binds us- nothing can sever. And I will see you again. In your longest days or your hardest hours this love will comfort your pain. It will lift you up with new strength and power. And I will see you again. (Refrain) I will see you again. On that bright day your joy will not end. I will see you my friend. I will see you again. So just you wait for that blessed morning. The time will not be in vain. The change in you will then be transforming. For I will see you again. Don’t lose your faith and live out of fear. Or bind your guilt like a chain. My love will comfort and bring you cheer. For I will see you again. (Refrain) I will see you again. On that bright day your joy will not end. I will see you my friend. I will see you again. Though the days may pass and the time grows long; yet Love will always remain. Then Love will give to your heart a new song. For I will see you again. That day will come at a time not known. So forget not what I have shown. Just hold on tight to the thought that’s sown. For Love will see you again. (Refrain) I will see you again. On that bright day your joy will not end. I will see you my friend. I will see you again.
Resurrection. It comes into our lives in many ways. Always mysterious, sometimes commonplace; but more often than not the “miraculous” does take place in our lives! We only need the eyes of faith to ‘see’ it, and the willing heart to ‘receive’ it. Otherwise, we might just “overlook” it and believe it to be something else. Isn’t that the lesson of how the first disciples received it? Once it is truly believed with ALL our being; how then; how then can we even deny it? Change from death to life anew. Total renewal. Of course it’s possible! Nature shouts it as a fact every year! God’s handiwork, His hand, is seen in the progressive seasons. And in the life, death, and regeneration of all living things. Hallelujah! Christ is risen indeed! How absurd, to think that with God it could not be the very fact and Truth of how He has operated since the very beginning! Does renewal take a long time? For Jesus it only took three days. For us it might take longer. We just might see decay set in; as was the case with Lazarus. But death MUST happen first before “the glory of God” can and WILL be revealed. My own life has shown me the “miraculous”. When I left matters “in God’s hands”, then He brought to me new life and hope. And, yes, how can I ever deny it? Could anyone else deny it as well? I challenge them on that point to say that it all didn’t happen! Try as they might; it is all too obvious to me. Am I ‘a fool’ for believing in “the miraculous”? This fool is only one among the truly wise ones who KNOWS. Amen.
The Lord is my shelter in Life’s storm. The Lord keeps me safe, He keeps me warm. When the lightning flashes, the thunder starts to roll the Lord keeps my life, He holds my soul. The Lord lights my skies on cloudy days. The Lord watches me in all my ways. Walking in His Spirit my heart begins to sing and rises like a gushing, bubbling spring. The Lord is my strength though I am weak. His Holy Spirit’s power I will seek. When I start to stumble I’ll call upon His name. And Satan with my foes will leave in shame.
