The Universality Of God’s Spirit. (Rewritten, as inspired.) Copyrighted. A poem by Timothy Baugh. March 25, 2019.

As the hand moves over the harp, and the strings speak. So speaks in my members the Spirit of the Lord, and I speak by His love. For it destroys what is foreign, and everything that is bitter. As thus it was from the beginning and will be to the end, that nothing should be His adversary (not even Satan), and nothing should stand up against Him. The Lord has multiplied the knowledge of Himself, and is zealous that these things should be known (about Him), which by grace have been given to us. And the praise of His name has he given us. Wherefore does our spirits praise His Holy Spirit. There went forth a stream (from God’s presence) and it became a river great and broad. For it flooded and broke up everything, and it brought (Living Water) to the Temple. (the Church.) And the restrainers of the children of Men were not able to restrain it, nor the arts of those whose business is to restrain waters. For it spread over the face of the whole earth, and filled everything. All the thirsty upon earth were given to drink of it. Thrist was relieved and quenched: for from the Most High the (drink) was given. Blessed then are the ministers of that (drink) who are entrusted with that water of His. They have assuaged (satisfied the longing of) dry lips, and the will that fainted they have raised up. And souls near to departing they have brought back from death itself. And limbs that had weakened they strengthened. Those that had become lame they straightened and healed. They gave strength for their feebleness and light to their eyes. For everyone knew of them, who are in the Lord, and they (His believers) lived by the water of life forever. Hallelujah. Amen.      “Jesus answered and said to her, Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” John 4: 13-14.
