I have been wondering lately: What is the future of the Faithful followers, the disciples of Jesus Christ? Will their ‘fellowships’ survive in these times? Will “their Church” continue? Or will Jesus come and “remove their lampstand” out of its place unless they repent?” The ‘original model’ of “The Church” has obviously been adulterated and distorted. Two thousand years have passed and what we see today is the “morphing” of the Church into a ‘political’ entity whose agenda is to enforce the standard of public morality and ethics; to be autocratically lived by all. But, it is not my purpose to “prove” to you ‘how’ or ‘why’ this has come about. Jesus Himself says: “He who has ears to hear; let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches”. Look honestly for yourself and the evidence of this truth will astound you! Despite the widespread acceptance of so-called “conservative”, “traditional” or even “family” values; the modern society and culture of the world ‘swings like a pendulum’ between “social gridlock” and “over permissiveness”. ‘Freedom of conscience’ can mean whatever you make of it; and “every man does what is right in his own eyes”. How sad it is to think that we have come to this! Is this nothing more than how it has ‘always’ been; except now we feel our excuses are more justified??? NOW ANYTHING CAN BE DONE IN THE NAME OF CHRIST! “…thou sayst, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and knoweth not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:” and “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.” Revelation 3:17 and 19. Luckily, there IS hope that is held out for the “last moment” rather than condemnation! Jesus says at Revelation 3:20-21: “Behold, I stand at the door, (of the heart) and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, (of the heart) I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcomes will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.” (with my own insight added.) So, no matter if the current Church is “lukewarm” or not: regardless of whether she is “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” or not; THERE IS STILL HOPE! Even when we feel that we cannot lift our eyes unto Jesus, or utter one word; we can open the door of our heart all the same, and sincerely repent. Hallelujah! Thanks be to Him!
