When God made heaven and Earth, He made a physical world for us to see, hear, and touch. In the same way, He made you a physical being who can see, hear, and touch. And when we use those gifts God gave us to serve His people, we can remember that we aren’t doing it on our own. It really is His strength working in us that provides for the needs of others. How can you live out this truth this week? How can you remember that it’s God’s powerful strength working through you that serves others? Take some time to jot down ideas, and then share them with your Small Group.

Have you ever come across someone who clearly needed something? Maybe it was something as simple as a friend who forgot their lunch at home, and you noticed they were without food. Or perhaps it was someone who seemed to live on the streets without a home. If we pay attention long enough, we’ll see that there are people in need all around us. And while there will always be people in need, God has also called us to be ready—be prepared—and eager to help! The next time you notice someone in need, take a few minutes to think about how you can help. Maybe even be so bold as to ask them what they need! You never know how God might use you to meet a need.
