Pardon My Asking, “Is This World The Insane Asylum Of The Universe?” You May Be Surprised! (A somewhat long read.) By Timothy Baugh. (Visit at:

“Now war arose in heaven, Michael (whose name is more in the form of a ‘statement’ rather than a ‘question’. MEANING: “WHO IS LIKE THE LORD!” and his angels (only the Eternal Son of God, Christ Jesus, is over the angels) fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels (those who were on his side) fought back, but he was defeated, (the very ‘FIRST TIME’) and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the “great” dragon (not a ‘puny’ Being in any sense!) was thrown (forcibly) down, that ancient (from the ‘start’ of “ALL” Creation) serpent, (noted for his sly and subtle nature) who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of {the whole world}— he was thrown (like garbage or waste) DOWN TO EARTH, and his angels were thrown down with him.” Revelation 12:7-9.   “Therefore, (for this reason) rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! BUT WOE TO YOU, O EARTH AND SEA, (the Planet and its inhabitants) for the devil has come down to you IN GREAT WRATH, because he KNOWS that his time (existence) is short!” Revelation 12:12. (English Standard Version- with my own emphasis and insights added.)       Obviously, the very idea of such a thing strikes terror in the hearts of all! But consider, Why would that loud voice (Our Father God’s?) say, “WOE (distress and trouble) TO YOU, O EARTH AND SEA?” Lucifer, (or so some think) WANTED IN HIS ‘INSANITY’ TO DESTROY GOD! AND THEN TO DECLARE HIMSELF “AS” GOD. God “threw him out” and “down to Earth”. HE WAS DEFEATED! BUT… THE “WOUNDED WARRIOR” WAS NOT DESTROYED THEN! Later, he was DEFEATED AGAIN!; at the cross of God’s Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. It looked for one fraction of a second like SATAN SUCCEEDED. NO!!!   Finally, he will be “confined” with his ‘angels/devils’ to that “Bottomless Pit” to subsequently be ‘THROWN AGAIN’ (think: “committed”, or “incarcerated” into) the “Lake Of Fire/ the Second Death”. In GREAT WRATH (Insanity) was the Evil One when he EVEN CAME TO THIS EARTH. And “in insanity” he seeks to destroy EVERYTHING OF GOD! HALLELUJAH! Jesus Christ will stop him ETERNALLY! “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!” Amen.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast.

Salvation is freely given by God’s grace and received through faith. You can’t earn your salvation or healing by your works or performance.

Salvation is the Greek word ‘sozo’ meaning ‘to save: deliver, protect, heal, preserve, do well, be or make whole’. Salvation is a package deal – when you put your faith, attention, focus and trust in Christ’s sacrifice, healing comes as well as forgiveness, deliverance and eternal life.

So, the Ephesians 2:8 translation includes ‘For by grace you have been healed through faith.

Sometimes the word ‘sozo’ is used for healing (eg Matthew 9:22, Mark 10:52), and sometimes for eternal life (eg Acts 4:12) because they are both part of the same salvation. The combining of forgiveness of sin and healing so often seen in Scripture is not to suggest that all sickness is a result of an individual’s sin, but that it had its’ original entry point into mankind through sin, both being dealt with through Jesus’ sacrifice for us.

Religious teaching that has often arisen from experience rather than God’s Truth says that your healing may not come, may be a process you have to work through or even put off until eternity but that is not consistent with Scripture. God wants you well and has already provided your healing for you in Jesus- it’s not put off; it’s not a maybe but it is done and it is yours!

Some people are told that they do not have enough faith and that’s why they are not healed. I’m letting you know that you already have enough faith to receive a miracle- to each one has been given a measure of faith (Romans 12:3) and Jesus said that the smallest amount of faith, that of a mustard seed, was enough for nothing to be impossible for you (Matthew 17:20). It’s not the amount of faith but what you put that seed of faith in- put it into truth!

Don’t worry if you feel weak or don’t know everything. Put that little seed of faith into what the Bible declares that God has already done for you and it is enough for you to receive a miracle.

Luke 5:17 Now it happened on a certain day, as He was teaching, that there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every town of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. And the power of the Lord was present to heal them.

Verse 17 states ‘and the power of the Lord was present to heal them’. ‘Them’ in this passage relates back to the Pharisees and teachers of the law that were mentioned, those who opposed Jesus. Jesus actually wanted to manifest Himself to them. He didn’t reject them; He wasn’t withholding from them but they didn’t receive any healing because they were too busy sitting back challenging God.

We don’t stand back and critique God like He is a performer or challenge Him as to why certain things haven’t happened. He is God, perfect and good in all His ways, and He calls us to believe Him, even though that can often be a challenge in the face of our circumstances.

In the story, four men then bring their paralysed friend to Jesus, breaking through the roof of the house when they couldn’t get close enough to Him. These men stand in contrast to the religious leaders, with their passion to reach Jesus with their friend and His response in verse 20 is, ‘When He saw their faith, He said to him, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”’

After discerning the criticism in the hearts of the religious Jesus states in verse 23, ‘Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise up and walk’?

The release of forgiveness brought healing with it. This is in no way to suggest that a person’s sickness is due to a sin but as sickness originally came into the earth through sin, God has dealt with them together throughout Scripture and ultimately, in the Atonement, the finished work of the Cross. Forgiveness and healing are part of the same salvation in Jesus.

Again, we are all on a journey of learning to appropriate what Jesus has provided for us but can I encourage you to daily come to Him, let His truth fill your heart; let it encourage you, illuminate God’s nature and will to you, reveal His magnificent salvation and bring His healing power.
