God Has Given You Power

“…but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭(KJV)‬‬

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for power is “dynamis” (G1411), which means “strength, power or ability.” God has given you the power to produce everything that He has called you to do. He has given you the power, strength, stamina and fortitude to conquer every storm. God has not given you the spirit of fear—He has given you power to conquer every mountain. When you are His child, fear has to flee. When you are in Christ, the stronghold of fear must loose its grip. Fear has no power when faith is present. When you’re in Christ it’s your choice to either function in the authority and the power that God has given you or you can shrink to the stronghold of fear. Choose not to cower to fear; walk by faith.

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:21‬ (‭KJV)‬ states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Success and defeat are in your tongue. Victory and failure are in the power of your tongue. What’s in your language? What has a hold of your tongue—faith or fear? What’s speaking louder—faith or fear? Choose to digest God’s Word day and night and in every season of your life. When fear creeps into your life, choose to defeat it with the Word of God.

Joshua 1:8 (KJV) states, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Meditate on God’s Word. Diligently focus on applying God’s Word in every area of your life. Choose to develop a life filled with faith-filled actions instead of succumbing to fear. Obey God and trust His Voice. His Word will establish your pathway. Pattern your life after His Word and break the cycle of fear.
