I want to talk to you today about that small but powerful and important word: ALL.
While talking with some friends the other day about the subject of sin, I was impressed by the “ALLNESS of our sinfulness.”
Romans 3:23 says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
James 2:10 says, “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.”
And Luke 13:3 says, “I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”
This means we are ALL sinners. We do not have to break ALL the commandments to be involved, and unless we repent, turning from our sins, we shall ALL die. To die without repenting of your sins and turning to Jesus in faith would leave you spending an eternity without God.
Well, as my friends and I talked, I was impressed to share with them the wonderful truth about the “ALLNESS of our Savior.”
Christ is ALL and in ALL. (Col 3:11); the fullness of Him who fills ALL in ALL.
He is before ALL things, and in Him ALL things consist. (Col 1:17).
For in Him dwells ALL the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Col2:9).
In Him, are hidden ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Col 2:3).
You see, the answer to the “ALLNESS of my sin” is the “ALLNESS of my Savior” and the way from the one to the other is by faith.
You will find, that through sincere appropriating faith, the ALLNESS of His grace is the answer to the ALLNESS of your need.
My friend, ALL you need is Jesus.
