Louis XIV was called by the symbolic name, “The Sun King.” Although people would not be familiar with the title today, his subordinates knew that this name, derived from the catchphrase that identified the Greek god Apollo, carried the connotation of his rule over peace, art, and life. Yet we know that all earthly thrones or positions of power come to an end. Today there is a throne set in heaven and a Living Lord who is still seated on the throne. Your very presence is evidence of that.
