Hope of heaven
We groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. Because in hope we were saved.
Romans 8: 23-24
The trials in the life of a believer increase his hope for heaven. Just as trials create a growing disinterest in the fleeting world, they also create a greater desire, for example, to reunite with a loved one who has left to be with the Lord. If the most loved ones in your life have come into the presence of our Savior, and if you have invested your time and money in eternal things, then you will not have many ties with this transitory world.
Beyond this life of suffering there is a glorious future for the believer that makes us want even more the fulfillment of salvation. So trials give us a greater appreciation of what is eternal; they help us long for the eternal city of heaven.
