Bringing difficulties to God

Lord, have mercy on us, for we hope in you. You, who are the arm of others tomorrow, save us also in times of anguish! – Isaiah 33: 2

When we go through difficulties, it is common for us to wonder where we went wrong. However, despite our many mistakes, God sent Jesus to give us forgiveness of our sins and salvation.

This certainty should give us peace of mind. Acknowledging God’s action in our life makes us feel safe. With a relieved conscience, then, we can continue to fight for the things of God, and worry about others, asking for relief from our anguish. Let us seek the comfort of God’s Word, and bring all our worries and difficulties to him in prayer. He welcomes us, forgives us and revives us. Our God is always with us.

PRAYER:  Dear God, how good that I can hold my head up and keep fighting. Always give me this security. Amen.
