Overcome spiritual depression in the presence of God
Spiritual depression? We can really depress the indwelling Spirit of God. The Word of God warns us in Ephesians 4:30:
“Do not offend the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were sealed for the day of redemption.”
To oppress the Spirit with which we were sealed means to put off our armor, we turn away from the Father and His counsels.
We no longer walk in darkness, we are beings of light, we were renewed by Christ and led each day by the Spirit of God. The moment we decide to act improperly or think in our ignorance that God is not enough for us, we must examine ourselves. Galatians 5:16:18 explains how the works of the flesh are contrary to the Spirit:
“So I tell you: Live by the Spirit, and you will not follow the desires of the sinful nature. Because it wants what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit wants what is contrary to it. The two of you are opposed to each other, so you cannot do what you want. But if the Spirit leads them, they are not under the law. “
We are no longer guided by the laws of this world, we are guided by the Spirit. If you offend and stray from your guide. What path will you walk on? Still don’t know who your Lord is?
Do not reject the love of Christ, His blood made you whiter than snow, enter the joy of your Lord and eliminate all thoughts and vanities that change the focus of your life on what is not for the glory of God.
I am moving away from God
If you feel desperate and troubled by everything that is happening in your life is not the time to move away from your God, rather, get closer ask him to examine your heart and to be renewed again. Our heart is continually going to evil, if at any moment you turn away from God, the lust as a sinner that you are will consume you.
Search me, O God, and probe my heart; put me to the test and probe my thoughts. See if I am going astray, and guide me along the eternal path. Psalms 139: 23-24
The cause of your bitterness was not caused by the Holy Spirit, God is love, it was caused by your bad thoughts, turn your eyes away from evil. Do not become wise in your own opinion. I don’t think you know the answer to the question God asked Job either: Where were you when I formed the heavens and the earth? (Job 38: 4)
Prayer to feed the Spirit of God that dwells in me
God, good Father, I wish that your Holy Spirit will return to be the one who guides my steps. Forgive me Lord, do not take my sins into account. I want to be transformed and corrected by your Word. I have recognized my fault and I know that only Christ is enough for me, and outside of Him I am nothing. Shelter me with Your love and never leave me. I am weak, so I ask that your spirit be strong in me. Take me like a fragile glass and fill my life with Your love, for Christ the King of my life. Amen.
