Where does love come from?

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. – 1 John 4:10

If we want to understand Christian love, it is essential that we know its origin and why the Christian message was always based on love. Everything had its beginning with the love of God, because God is love.

The greatest demonstration of God’s love can be seen in the fulfillment of his promises of salvation. And for its fulfillment he sent his only son, Jesus Christ, as a sacrifice in our place. Jesus is the greatest proof of the love that God has for us.

Jesus Christ also gave us indisputable proofs of his love. His works of love were directed to all people without distinction. Therefore, we are responsible for the work of Jesus Christ to continue. In this work, love of God and our neighbor come first.

PRAYER:  Dear God, I thank you for your love. I know that your will is that I also show love towards my neighbor. Help me to live the love of Jesus in my daily life. Amen.
