Vertical Connection – February 12

Decisions Every day, from the moment we wake up, we are making decisions. The very fact of getting up is already a decision and this process of elections extends throughout the day and goes from the simplest to the crucial ones for our lives, even if we choose not to make any decision, we are deciding. All decision making generates in us a degree of uncertainty and tension, and many times we wear ourselves out looking for what will be the best option for us and even worse, if the decision directly involves other people. In 1 Kings 3: 3-15 we find a beautiful account. Jehovah appeared to Solomon and told him to ask for whatever he wanted. The king did not ask for more power, nor money, nor more years, nor did he ask that his kingdom never have problems; He only asked for wisdom and the Lord was so pleased with his request that he gave him a wise and understanding heart. How to know what is the best decision for our lives? What does God want from us? Our understanding is very limited and sometimes we are left seeing only the circumstances that surround us, the immediate consequences and we do not see what God has for us later on. If we leave our decisions in the hands of God and ask him to give us his grace and wisdom, we will surely do very well. Let’s not seek God only when we have to make big decisions or use prayer as an emergency exit, but rather strive to have a continuous and close relationship with God. Let us put our lives, dreams, problems, wishes, families and everything we treasure in the hands of our Father. Ask God for wisdom and allow your decisions to be guided by Him. Remember that God is never wrong.  “And if any of you lacks wisdom, ask God, who gives generously to all and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1: 5 Ana Maria Frege IssaCorrdinadora Call Center RDSThe following credit, by obligation, is required for use by other sources: This article was produced by Radio Cristiana CVCLAVOZ.
