THE RAGING WAR OF THE FLESH AGAINST THE SPIRIT

But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me.” Romans 7:23(NLT)

It is said that man is a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. He is made of two parts- the spirit and flesh. The flesh of man was formed by God from the dust of the ground while the spirit in him which is the image and likenesses of God was given to him asthe breathe of life, and man became a living beingGen. 2:7
The spirit and the flesh mutually benefits from each other by living together. The flesh is a good host to the spirit and in turn the spirit sustains the flesh.

Though
they have a symbiotic relationship, the spirit and flesh are exact opposite of each other in deeds and desire. “The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants…” Gal 5:17
The flesh was made by God from the dust of the earth. It has lustful desires and its works are against the laws of God(Gal 5:1921). On the other hand, the spirit of a man is the very breathe of life from God that gives life to the flesh. It has the nature of God and therefore acts as a check on the flesh from being content with its lustful desires(Gal 5:16)

It is our spirit that links up with God’s Spirit. The Bible says: “God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the spirit and in truth.” John 4:24. When our inward man is active, then we can desire to live a righteous life and be able to express our devotion and reverence to God.

It
can be so frustrating for a Christian to fight off the desires of his canal flesh particularly if his spirit is weak. In Romans 7:1324 Apostle Paul felt very distressed and worthless trying to subdued the evil desires of his flesh. He was so wearied by the constant conflict between his spiritual inner being and his canal flesh, so much that he cried out! “What a wretched man I am!” Rom 7:24
We must note that Apostle Paul was both spiritual and active in his inner being. He finds joy and fulfilment in obeying the laws of God, and yet it wasn’t very easy for him to subdue the desires of his flesh! The question is, if a spirit-filled Apostle Paul found it not so easy to control his flesh, what would then be the fate of someone who is weak in the flesh and dormant in the spirit?

Our spirit have endured a raw deal of neglect by man. From when we were born, the whole of our interest is usually focused on how to develop our physical body and an enhanced mental acuity to the total disregard of our spiritual wellness. Oftentimes we tends to forget that just as our physical body, the spiritual being needs to be taken care of, fed for growth, and exercised for strength.
The Bible says we should earnestly desire the pure milk of the word of God by which we may nurture the spirit to growth.(1Peter 2:2). How well and healthy we live might as well depend on the extent we feed our spirit with Gods principles as found in His Word.(Psalms 119:92,93).
To exercise our spirit, we need to observe fasting and prayers from time to time. We have to discipline our physical body to keep it under control(1 Cor 9:27); this will have the effect of reducing the dominance of the flesh over our spirit man. It helps for an increased spiritual awareness.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the fresh.” Gal 5:16(NKJV). Apostle Paul made us to understand that though its difficult, but possible to be a good Christian by yielding to the leading, control and guidance of the Holy Spirit. When we do that, the evidence will be visible in our life as its reward. Such a one would be guiltless and cannot be accused of sin nor of breaking any of God’s laws(Gal 5:22,23,).
Remember that in Psalms 82:6 it says ” You are gods; indeed, all of you are children of the Most High.” So we should not continue to live our lives like mere men by failing to care for our spiritual development
Amen

FAITH…(1)What it is

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He so exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Heb 11:6(NIV)

Faith is a spiritual force that helps to activate every spiritual  possibilities and makes them to manifest in the physical world. Everything is possible in the realm of the spirit from where the destines of men are shaped and his affairs are controlled. God is the Sovereign Almighty who reigns in the heavens and on the earth(Psalm 97:), and with Him on our side we can achieve everything good thing that we set out to accomplish, but only if we have faith in Him. So, faith is the mainstay of our Christian life and it is what it takes to get whatever we need from the kingdom of God. It is the most important tool that can be put into use to obtain a desired result.

Faith is in levels.  Today let’s talk about the first level of faith which is the faith we had at becoming a Christian. This can be called FOUNDATION FAITH. It is given to every believer as a freewill of God through His grace and it is available to everyone. (Titus 2:11Also, Ephesians 2:8 says: “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God

It is very important to note that faith is made active by works. It is only those who act upon the word of faith that was preached to them that can become a born again child of God. The process is to hear the Word, believe, accept, and take action on it. The things we can do to help us build our faith on the word of salvation that we heard at this level includes but not limited to: declaring the new found faith, identifying and fellowshipping with fellow belivers, studying the Bible etc. James 2:24 says: “You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith ALONE. “

Likewise in all areas of our lives, we should always demonstrate our faith by action. When we say we have faith, it shouldn’t stop at just saying it. When you fold your arms and do nothing with the Gospel message of Christ that you have just received, doubt may set in and the word will not take root. That in itself is unbelieve. Both faith and works should coexist and working together for a blessed and successful Christian life. If you remove faith from the Gospel, life will become too much of a struggle. In a similar manner, when you take away works and operate by faith alone, then Christianity will become inactive and powerless. To work effectively, the two will have to help each other.

The issues of faith is spiritual and central to the Chrstian believe. It is by faith that we can have unhindered access to a glorious destiny in Christ because “the just shall live by faith” Amen! (To be continued)

CHRISTIAN GROWTH & MATURITY

” Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,” 1 Peter 2:2(NASB)

The work of Christ was to save man from sin and its consequences, and as a result, loosen him from the grips and wickedness of the devil. Subsequently, we live a victorious and successful life by following the leading of the Holy Spirit who is our Teacher, Helper and Comforter. A victorious Christian life is possible when we are matured as to know our place and inheritance in Christ. As long as the heir to a throne is a minor, he has no advantage over his servants. Though he is the owner of the entire inheritance, he is still subject to those who teach, care for him and takes decisions on his behalf. That is the way we are too as immature Christians living as slaves, instructed and ordered about.(Gal 4:1-3)

Having been justified by Christ, we should now live by faith, abide by the finished work of Christ and be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Getting to the level of living a victorious life is not instant. It does not come automatically at our conversion. A child who is an heir, remains in subjection until maturity. Growth and maturity takes time, patient and nourishing. It is at maturity that we can be able to exercise our senses to discern both good and evil. We need to know and understand the purpose and calling of God in our life and be ready to do His will.

Just as we eat and exercise to help the growth of our physical body and to give it strength, that same way our spiritual body needs food for nourishment and growth and should also be exercised to give strength. We remember that Jesus is the ‘Word made flesh’, and in John 6:54-55 He said: “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.”(NIV). As much as possible we need to feed our spirit man with the pure milk of the Word for in it is a complete and balanced diet for our spiritual growth and sustenance.

A Christian without spiritual awareness is worse than physical blindness. Fasting and prayers should be a must that should be practiced for every believer. It is a good spiritual exercise that keeps us active in the spirit. 1 Cor 2:14-15 ”But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.”(NKJV)

We need to pass through the crises of faith in other to make spiritual progress. It is the walk of faith. It means we have to place less reliance on self effort and be more open in our hearts to accept the victory that Christ has already won for His followers.

We also need to search out the Scriptures by ourselves for our spiritual needs and solutions, and do not have to always run to our pastors for everything at the slightest opportunity. By this, we experience Jesus’ richness of grace and mercy for daily Christian living. If we live and walk in this truth, it will help us to live a stress-free life and bear much fruits in our kingdom walk.

For, as believers and coworkers with Christ, we are required to do good works for victorious living in the present time and will also abide in our account in heaven for an everlasting lifeAmen.

LIVING LIFE TO THE FULLEST

Death was from Adam, But Life in Christ. Its only in Christ that we can live and love life.

God is not a taker of life. He is the giver of it. His wish for us is salvation and a good life “With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:16. His desire is for us to have and live a life that is fully sufficient and bountiful supplies of very possible good things that we may require.
But death through sin reigned from Adam which had threatened to derail God’s set direction for His Children. Praise God that nothing can get the better of Him. From Him is the gift of life which is “the gift by the grace of one Man, Jesus Christ (that) abound to manyRom 5:15

God hates sin as much as He sees death as an enemy. We know that death came through sin but the righteousness that leads to life came from Christ Jesus “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made a live1Cor 15:22(NKJV)
Those who hates God and His wisdom does so against their own soul. They have loved death rather than accept the redemption that Christ offers by His blood(Prov 8:36; Hosea 13:14)

To be able to claim the promise of a good life of many happy days and also be a beneficiary of Christs finished work, we need to love God and His creation, restrain our tongue from speaking evil, always stand by the truth, turn away from evil to do good and actively seek to coexist peaceably with everyone.(1 Peter 3:1012). Above all, if we love God, then we have no other options outside of His will. Jesus said: “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21(NKJV)

Life and whatever it is sustained with is from God. It is His hearts desire that we live and enjoy life to its full extent. Everything we own in this life(including life itself) is a gift from God. It was Gods thought out plan to get everything prepared and available for us in Christ Jesus even before we were conceived in the womb. This should be very clear to us and we have to understand that by “the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, (He) has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.” 2 Tim 1:10

Amen

LIVING IN THE SAFETY OF HIS PRESENCE

He who lives in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the AlmightyPsalm 91:1(NTL)

Before the coming of Christ, we lived in the bondage sin and burden of the law, both of which has curses that brought a lot of hindrances to all people on the earth.(Gen 3:17; Dan 9:11). Jesus came as the Salvation from God to redeem man from those curses and as the Light that brings revelation to the world. He paid the price for each and everyone of us who would believe in Him to live a life that is free from curses of sin. Jesus took upon Himself the curses of the world when He was crucified on the cross of Calvary “for it is writtencursed is everyone who hangs on a tree‘” Gal 3:13

The redemption that Jesus gives is salvation from sin, and freedom from its consequences.(John 8:3136). Those in Christ should be alive to righteousness and should no longer live in a manner consistent with the sin of the flesh, but according to the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. The meaning of this is that sin will not have any more power over anyone who decides to live a life of the Spirit in Christ. “If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousnessRom 8:10(NASB)

One of the things that Christ did for us was to restore the relationship with God that was lost because of sin. By the blood of His reconciliation, Christ has made it possible that we can now live in God’s presence by the indwelling of His Spirit.(John 14:17)
The work of the Spirit is to help us in our daily Christian life, to live in agreement with God’s will, plan and purpose. The Holy Spirit is our allround Helper up to interceding for us before God and presents to Him any cause of worry we may have even when we do not understand nor state them precisely.(Romans 8:26,27)

On a daily basis, we need to accept to live our life in line with God’s ideas, principles and thoughts as found in the Bible and as impressed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

It
is to our own interest and benefits to live a life that is yielded to the leading of the Spirit. That is the best way to experience the kind of freedom, liberty, joy and peace that can only be enjoyed by Christians because ‘as by the Spirit of the Lordwe are transformed into the image of Christ from glory to gloryand where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty2 Cor 3:17,18 (NKJV)
The Bible said in 2 Chro 16:9 that “the eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him” We should make a firm decision in this new year to live each day in the presence of the Lord and open up our heats to Him, to do His will and be obedient to the leading of His Spirit. That is the only assured way to a life of safety, peace and success.
Amen.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2018!!!

No, dear brothers (and sisters), I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” Phil 3:13(TLB)

As we are getting ready to usher in the New Year 2018, God would like us to take stock of our lives and activities of the passing year 2017: what we did or didn’t do, and what we ought to have done in the different situations we faced in the passing year. What measure of progress did we make? Would we have done better and achieved better result than we had? How was our relationship with family and friends? Our prayer life and closeness with God; was it at an acceptable level? What is the way forward for us in the New Year?

The Bible said “Old things have passed away“. We must have learnt one thing or the other in the year, gained more experience in life and must have known how not to do a thing or two.
We should be determined to take with us what is good into the New Year and leave all of our shortcomings and bad habits behind us in the passing year. We should aspire to march into the New Year in a ” newness of life” and brand new expectations of a refreshed and cosy relationships with our spouses, family, friends, and above all with God.

Whatever the objectives and plans we intends to accomplish in the New Year, it should be focused on God through Christ. We should make Christ the center of our hope and aspirations. When our eyes are fixed on Christ Jesus and what He is calling us to do, then we will be able to understand “the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for ChristiansEph 1:18(TMB)

We should desire to always be alive to Christ in righteousness. Having been washed and cleansed of our sins, we ought to make it a habit of living our life to please God(Rom 6:4)
We should also understand that the life of a Christian is that of a spiritual warfare. God is a Mighty Man of war and our strength to do battle is in Him. He stirs up in us the zeal to be battle ready for which He also have given us every available help and issued us with the weapons we need(Eph 6:1020)

We have a choice to make between PRESSURE and PEACE. The world as it is today is godless. It is full of distress “Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, He abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done.” Rom 1:28(NLT)
Jesus has overcome all difficulties that exist in the world and obtained peace for His followers. So now, for us in Christ prayer gives us peace, but for those in the world, worrying gives them pressure(mental strain)
It is an awesome experience to fellowship with the Holy Spirit “For the kingdom of God does not consist of food and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Rom 14:17(NET Bible). When we choose to follow Christ, we have chosen peace and joyous life.

We should also understand too that our environments and the situations we face all responds to God’s Word. When we echo and give voice to the Word, we put His angels to work.(Psalm 103:20). Our heart is a tablet of flesh where the Word of God should be inscribed. It should be full and soaked up with the Word. The entrance of His word gives light and understanding to the simple.

Finally, we do know that the evil one does not like good things to come to the people of God. Praise God that Christ has triumphed over the devil and obtained victory for us. We should therefore march into the New Year 2018 with boldness and superiority consciousness over our adversaries knowing that: “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

And
whose hope is in the LORD.

For
he shall be like a tree planted by the waters,

Which
spreads out its roots by the river,

And
will not fear when heat comes;

But
its leaf will be green,

And
will not be anxious in the year of drought,

Nor
will cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7,8(NKJV)

AMEN

HAPPY & PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!

GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST, CHRIST IS BORN!!!

“For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”  2:11(NKJV)

Jesus was born about 2000 years ago as the Light of revelation to the world. Today He is no longer the baby in a manger. As a Son, He radiates the express image and character of God and He is sitting with Him at the right hand of His Majesty in heaven. For in Him resides the fullness of God the Father. He is to reconcile all things back to God “having made peace through the blood of His cross.” Col. 1:19,20
For He came to preach the Gospel message of PEACE, SALVATION and RECONCILIATION.

Behold this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel…” Luke 2:34
The followers of Christ are meant to carry the knowledge of Him everywhere we go. The fragrance of His knowledge in us should give off a sweet and acceptable scent. Unfortunately the aroma of Christ we carry is going to be perceived differently by two kinds of people: to those who are being saved, it is an aroma of life leading to life; but to the unbelieving its an aroma of death.
The true and inspired Gospel message should be strong enough to ‘cut to the heart‘. Meaning that anyone who hears it should either be ‘fired up’ to live by it’s life saving principles or else be infuriated by it unto death.(Acts 7:54; 2Cor 2:1416)

For us as the light of the world, Christmas is a time and season to show off our Christian qualities and values. We should let the light of our lifestyle and good works shine brightly that it may bring glory to God.(Matt 5:1416)

Christ is the reason for the season. We should try as much as possible to keep Him at the center of our Christmas celebrations. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” 1 Cor 10:31

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and wonderful celebrations

THE BIRTH OF CHRIST IS A GIFT TO MANKIND

God showed how much He loved us by sending His One and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him.” 1 John 4:9(NTL)

Christ needed to be born to restore man’s glory and the relationship we had with God before the Adamic fall. His birth was an arrangement that brought God to live with us in human flesh(Matt 1:23)
Jesus came to set us free by the POWER off HIS SALVATION, that we may be delivered from the oppressiveness of the devil. That we being redeemed can worship God without fear “in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life.” Luke 1:75

The conception of Jesus was a miracle and His birth a fulfilment of prophecy. God had sent angle Gabriel to the virgin Mary to tell her of His intentions to use her as a carrier of the miraculous birth. Though she was engaged to be married, they had not come to live together as man and wife(Luke 1:34). “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you: therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35
All these were foretold by the prophets of old at different times in Biblical history that Christ will be born as the Messiah. He will be called Mighty God. Born as a Child and anointed to be a Son. He is to remove the gloom from the distressed and give to them a pleasant life.(Isaiah 9:17)
He will be filled with the Holy Spirit and anointed to preach good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to the captives and ‘to give them beauty for ashesIsaiah 61:13

Christ Jesus is Greater than the greatest. Adonai the Lord our Maker. He shoulders the righteous kingdom “And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of PeaceIsaiah 9:6

Just as the virgin Mary accepted God’s word by angel Gabriel when she answered and said to him “Let it be to me according to your word“, when we accept the Gospel of Christ and receive Him as Lord and Savior, we become conceived and be born again as children of the most High God

We should remember that Christ is the reason for the season. Though a King and maker of the universe yet Christ was born in a manger. He is meek, gentle and lowly.
The celebration of His birth should not be a time to indulge in gluttonous living and drunkenness. We should not celebrate as non Christians. It should be a season for sober reflection on the saving grace and mercy of God. It is not a time to be covetous like the rich man of Luke 12:1521
It is a good time to reach out to the homeless and offer help to the less fortunate among us. We are instructed not to fix our hope on uncertain riches but in the living God ” to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share1 Timothy 6:17,18. By this we will be able to store up future treasure for ourselves. That is the very best way to living indeed and to lay hold on eternal life.
Amen.

Merry
Christmas

ABUNDANT LIFE IN GOD’S REST

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matt. 11:28(NKJV)

God made the heavens and the earth and everything therein by the power of His Word.(John 1:13). Then He saw that everything He made were indeed very good and also sustainable. He then went ahead to bless them and said: “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue itGen 1:28
God also planted a garden where He put Adam and Eve to take care of and maintain. “And God blessed (spoke good of) the seventh day, set it apart as His own, and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all His work which He had created and done.” (Gen 2:3 AMP).
God entered His rest by allowing the world and everything He made to function and be sustained by the power of His Word.

Jesus said “My Father has been working until now, and I have been workingJohn 5:17. By this He explain to the Jews of His days that God entered His rest does not mean He stopped working. No.
For us too as Christ followers, entering God’s rest is not about folding our arms, idling about and doing nothing. The Bible said those who live a lazy life have chosen poverty to come to them like a prowler(Prov 6:11)
To enter God’s rest is about putting our trust in God and to fully believe in the finished work of Christ. By the simple believe and trust in God’s Word, we can accomplish much more work than can be possible just by our human effort.

When Jesus said “I will give you rest” He did not mean we should be jobless. The rest He gives is peace of mind. It is very possible to be calm and be at peace even in the midst of tumultuous situations and daily busy schedules. What it needs is to be less dependent on our human awareness, understanding and efforts. We should rather rest on God’s Word, believe and have faith on He’s promise of help by His Holy Spirit “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it‘” Isaiah 30:21(NKJV)

Anyone who entered God’s rest has himself ceased from the weariness and pain of human labor (Heb 4:10) because entering His rest will save us from a life of endless toil, futility and unfruitfulness. His rest is a guarantee for favor and an abundant life without stress.
In the Gospel of Luke 5:17; Jesus proved that there is abundant and stress-free life just by obeying and living by God’s Word. He told Simon Peter to “Launch out into the deep and let down your net for a catch“. Though Peter was reluctant because he had just spent a fruitless night with his colleagues in that same spot and caught nothing, but he still obeyed ” nevertheless at Your Word I will let down the net“. They then caught a very large number of fish, so much that there was not room enough in the boats to take them all. Hallelujah!
That same way, when we accept to enter God’s rest, we will be amazed at how stress-free our lives would become. Unfortunately, not everyone would enter His rest because of unbelievable and disobedience(Heb 3:19; 4:6).
Those who hates instructions, who cast God’s Word behind, are those who lives a life of struggle, but His right hand upholds everyone who follows close behind Him because He always shows His goodness to His faithfuls.

We
should therefore as much as possible make the effort to accept and live in obedience to Gods Word. It is very active and powerful so that everything we need is found in His Word.

In John 8:32, Jesus said “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free“. The truth gives freedom. Freedom comes with peace and takes away worry and anxiety.
We need faith to be able to accept God’s Word in its totality. Thanks to God that by the gift of grace(which we received at the point of accepting Christ Eph 2:8), we can take hold of, and possess a working knowledge of an aggressive faith that loosens us from our ignorance of how potent Gods Word is. Only then do we begin to understand our position in Christ and the glorious Christian birthright. By the truth of His Word we can take charge of every situation and still come out victorious just as Jesus’ promise ” I have come that they may have life, and have it to the fullJohn 10:10b

THE CONCLUSION of the matter therefore is to trust God wholeheartedly, be alive in the spirit, and always listen to thestill small voice‘. Pay attention to Gods instructions and also be diligent in your work. Amen!

Ike

DILIGENT IN SERVICE

Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15(NTL)

We already have seen that we were Saved To Be Used by God for His kingdom work. We also know that we all have God-given potentials and are endowed by Him to be effective servants who can stand in for Christ in every of our sphere of reach: to win new converts, be of help to our fellow believers and also be part of a support group in the church.
Every Christian should have an area to serve and effectively too according to his or her natural abilities and skill God has put in the inside of each and everyone of us. Importantly, every Christian has received the accompanying wisdom, knowledge, understanding and grace to serve in King Jesus’ palace. We only need to give of ourselves willingly.

God has given to us everything we need to function effectively for His work. Therefore He also requires us to be thorough, careful and always have a burning desire to do the task to the best of our competence.
The call to duty is first and foremost to acknowledge God as our Father, and then “serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought1 Chronicles 28:9(NIV)

When doors opened for the Gospel, jealousy found Christian workers guarding their monopoly like diggers their goldrush stakeout. Rivalries sometimes destroyed revivals‘ – Evangelist Bonnke
We need to avoid strife, squabbles and envy while serving because we have only one Foundation which is Christ Jesus. Just as the apostle Paul said “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it but God has been making it grow1Cor 3:6  Whichever different areas we have been called to serve, they are all in one purpose. We all are God’s coworkers, made by Him, a building with the indwelling of His Spirit and called to the same vineyard. Our work therefore should be coordinated to compliment one another’s to the glory of God

At times, it may seem as if your work for God is unfairly criticised and may be outrightly rejected by people around you. Even when your immediate group would not accept you and your God-given task wholeheartedly, you still have to be focused on the job at hand. We should know that sometimes God does not work with a crowd but a few, and He can take a minority position(Judges 7:17). So we do not have to be accepted by everyone in our service to God. We should not allow dissenting voices to hold us back and stall the progress of our life’s assignment. Breakthroughs are not always from conformity.  The truth of God we speak and the actions we take should not always appear favorable as everyone else’. It is enough that we are Spirit-filled Christians, transformed from the rules of the world to God’s principles.(1 Kings 22:528)

According to the grace which God has given to us, we should work with wisdom, carefulness, consistent and dependable, knowing that “each mans work will become evident, for the day will show it because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each mans work. 14. If any mans work which he has built on it remains, he will receive a reward ” 1 Cor. 3:13,14(NASB)
God is the One who faithfully repays those that are diligent in their work for the Gospel and serve Him without holding back (Mark 10:30).  A day will come when we will be called to give account of ourselves and what we did or didn’t do for the advancement of the kingdom of God(Rom 14:12; Heb 4:13). We aught to be careful to give our best at all times knowing that our work shall be tested for quality by fire to reveal it’s value before a reward can be received.
And remember that the heavenly Father to whom you pray has no favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do. So you must live in reverent fear of Him during your time as aforeigner in the land‘ ” 1 Peter 1:17(NTL)
Amen
